User Preferences

The User Settings control panel allows a supervisor to change their password or modify the console's behavior.

User Settings can be accessed at any time by clicking the User button in the top right of the screen and selecting Settings.

The Account Summary page will open. This shows the details assigned to your supervisor account, as well as your access role.


Account Summary

This page shows a summary of your account details, including your current Access Role.

All the information in this section can be changed and updated, except the Username.


Change Password

To change your password, click on Account Summary and scroll to the bottom of the page.

Click Yes for the Change Password option.

Enter your current password, a new password, and enter it again to confirm.

Click Save to finish, and a confirmation message will appear.


Preferences

The Preferences menu contains behavioral options for the console.

Please note some options may be unavailable to you depending on your access role.

Capture Display

Default display for captures?

Sets the List, Grid, or Card view as the default in the thumbnail view.

List View:

Captures to see per page

Sets the default number of captures per page in the thumbnail view.

Display domain or school name?

This option determines whether the capture card displays the domain name for the school or the school OU name.

Default Capture View

This option chooses whether going to the captures view loads New or All as the default.

Capture Grading

Move to next capture on Save

Saving a capture moves you onto the next capture in the list when in full screen view.

Move to next capture on Delete

Deleting a capture moves you onto the next capture in the list when in full screen view.

Move to next capture on Grading

Grading a capture moves you onto the next capture in the list when in full screen view.

Warning for actioning multiple captures

This setting provides a pop-up confirmation box when deleting or grading multiple captures at once.

Refresh captures on action

This option changes the captures view behave the captures view behaviour to automatically refresh the page when a capture is graded.

Default

Default Tab

This setting will choose what tab is displayed first upon login.

Different options will be displayed depending on what your supervisor role has access to within the console.

Show confirm button on appropriate alert banners?

This setting will display a confirmation box when making any changes within the console when enabled.

Directory

Default level when viewing resources

Options are All, Level and Level and Below.

When All is selected, you will see all resources on the OU level you are on.

When Level is selected you will only see the resources that have been created at the OU level you are on.

When Level & Below are selected you will only see the resources that have been created on the OU level you are on and below that level in sub OU’s.

Directory Display

Expand Directory Nodes

If enabled, this will mean that the Directory tree will automatically expand when clicking on objects within the tree.

Disabling this will mean each node will have to be expanded manually by clicking on the arrows next to each object.

Sorting

Default sorting for captures

This will set the default sorting option for the captures view when you first log in. Date Descending is the default option.

Default sorting for user list

This will set the default sorting option for the user list in the settings panel.

Default sorting for station list

This will set the default station list sorting in the settings panel.

 

Click Save to accept any changes made.

This option is covered in the Two-Factor Authentication article.


Mail Settings

This section covers settings relating to emails sent by your account.

Email Signature

This option will allow you to add an email signature to your account which can be applied to exported captures.

Ticking the option to Yes will expand the field and show some options.

You can copy and paste your current email signature from Outlook directly into the box, formatting and images should be preserved in this process.

Click Save once complete.
