We are excited to announce the release of our new version 11 Securus XT Windows client.
The major features of the new client include:
Automatic client version updating – the major component of the release, our client will now automatically update itself, so you always use the latest version without any manual intervention.
Fully 64bit - experience faster and more efficient software performance, making our client even snappier.
OCR engine updates - our enhanced text recognition now scans screens more effectively to flag potential safety concerns, raising the bar on safeguarding standards.
Updated AUP - we've revamped our Acceptable Use Policy to make it easier to understand, so your students know exactly what they can and can't do.
General bug fixes and stability improvements - we've ironed out more kinks and made the software more reliable, for an even smoother user experience.
To request your copy of the new client, please email the support team (support@securus-software.com) and include your school name, school post code and cloud server address (eg, cloud3.securus-software.com) if you know it.
During summer 2024 we will be deprecating several legacy components for the cloud servers which will mean client versions prior to v10.4.08 will cease to function as at 31st August 2024. It is important that your client is updated ASAP to avoid disruption in the service.
We are also officially dropping Windows 7 support for this release and will not provide a client version for the operating system going forward.
