Exporting and Printing Captures

Before exporting or printing captures, please refer to our guidance article.

Captures can be exported from the console into several different formats.

 

Exporting Captures

Start by highlighting the captures you wish to export by single clicking on them, and then click on the Export button.

Format

PDF Export is selected by default, however, clicking on the drop down menu will present more options. A CSV export can be selected or CPOMS/MyConcern/TeamSOS can also be selected if integrated. Please refer to the integrations category for more information on this.

File Name

The file name field will automatically populate with “SecurusCapture-<CaptureIDNumber>”. This can be changed by deleting the the contents and replacing with your own.

Email

This section allows you to enter one or several email addresses to send the export to or a supervisor account can be selected from the list below.

Users on the mailing list will automatically be selected from the list.

Report, Front Page and Screenshots

By default the Report option is enabled, also enabling the Front Page and Screenshots options. Any of these options can be disabled as desired.

The Front Page will include a date and time that the export was created and a description of some of the capture details.

The Screenshots option will include the screenshot images with the export.

See below for an example of the front page of the report.

Notes

The Notes field can be used to both attach a note to the capture itself and to the email that gets sent during the export.

Categories

The Categories field will automatically populate the category that the capture(s) belong to. These categories can be removed and replaced by selecting new ones from the drop down menu. The chosen categories will be visible on the export email.

Severity

The Severity field will also automatically populate with the severity values attached to the capture(s). Similarly, this can also be changed to any other value to provide a severity to the export instead of just the captures. This severity rating will be visible on the export email.

Encrypt With Password

This option will allow you to encrypt the PDF with a password. To set a password, click the Disabled button so it switches to Active and a Password field will show.

Printing Captures

Captures can also be printed from the console. Printing a capture will provide the screenshot and supporting meta data text. This should be done for captures that need to be kept permanently.

Before printing, the content of the images should be considered. Please refer to our guidelines here for more information.

Select the captures you wish to print and then click on the Print captures button.

Your browser will open a new window to preview the selected captures. The Copy URL button can be used to send the capture URL to another user.

Click Print to finish and print the captures.

This can also be used to print to PDF, allowing you to keep hold of captures indefinitely.
