The report feature can generate a summary report for a given period of times activity. Reports can be sent to individual or multiple email addresses manually or they can be sent to a mailing list with one click.

Info

Supervisor accounts with correct email addresses are required to create a mailing list.

The report categories are:

System Summary Graphs

This offers a summary graph of all OU’s and provides a quick overview of activity on the network during the reporting period.

Captures by Severity

Securus attaches a severity number against every word and phrase in the library. The severity number is based on the potential risk to an end user. This graph offers a visual representation of the grading of the schools captures, providing a quick overview of activity from your school during the reporting period.

Captures by Source

Securus captures from words and phrases in library categories. The captures are marked as Keyboard (typed in) and Application (viewed on screen). This graph offers a visual representation comparing Keyboard and Application captures from your school during the reporting period.

System Summary Report

This offers summary data and provides a quick overview of activity captured during the reporting period.

It shows numerical data across a range of website and capture information for both users and machines.

Web Users (list)

    Users by Capture Count

    This section lists the top 20 users by their total capture count (keyboard and application).

    Top 10 High Risk Users

    This graph shows the number of captures multiplied by their Severity Grade to give a total Risk Score. For example, 12 Grade 1s would give a Risk Score of 12, or 5 Grade 4s would give a Risk Score of 20.

    Top Users Limited to 5

    This graph shows the users with the highest amount of captures, with a limit of 5 users.

    Top 20 Phrases Generating Captures

    This section shows the top 20 phrases that have generated captures, including both keyboard and application captures.

    Top 10 Phrases

    Similar to ‘Top 20 Phrases’, this graph shows the top 10 phrases that have generated captures.

    Top 10 Phrases vs Others

    This graph shows the same top 10 phrases but vs other phrases that have captured. This graph can help identify areas in the library that the school can review to help reduce false positives.

    Station List

    The following pages show a view of the devices that the Securus Client has been installed on. The latest client should be installed to ensure that you are up to date with current libraries and features.

    What this shows

    • The station names - the devices the client is installed on.

    • The Domain - should reference your school.

    • The Client Version - the version currently installed.

    Create a Mailing List

    To add users to a Mailing List, they will first need a supervisor account. To create a new account, please follow our supervisors article first.

    Once you have your supervisor accounts created, navigate to Reports > Mailing List from within the Settings menu.

    Click Add to add a new supervisor account to the list.

    Select the supervisor account(s) that you’d like to add from the drop down menu.

    Ensure that Email Summary Reports is selected to Yes.

    Click Add to continue.

    A confirmation message will show when successful.

    Generate Reports for a Mailing List

    In the Settings view, click on Reports.

    Select the date range that you want to report on and then enable Mailing List > Current Level.

    The box will expand, showing which users the report will be sent to.

    Custom text (including HTML) can be added to the News box.

    Click Generate Report to send the report to the mailing list recipients.

    It is also possible to bypass the mailing list setup and the summary report to a one or more email addresses manually.

    In the Settings view, click on Reports.

    Then click on Generate Reports.

    Change Enter your preferred time range and then change Email to Active.

    The email field will expand allowing to enter the email address(es) you’d like to send the report to. Select a date range that you’d like to report on and then

    Type in the address and click Add to add the email address(es) that the report should go to. . Repeat for any other addresses you’d like to add.

    It is also possible to add some custom text in the News field that will show at the beginning of the report.

    Once done, click Generate Report to finish.
