User Settings and Preferences (FMS)
The User Settings control panel will allow a supervisor to change their password or change the way the console behaves.
User Settings can be accessed at any time by clicking the User button in the top right of the screen and selecting Settings.
The Account Summary page will open. This will show you the details assigned to your supervisor account, as well your access role.
Account Summary
This page will show a summary of your account details including your current Access Role.
All of the information on this page can be changed except for your username.
Change Password
To change your password click on Account Summary and scroll to the bottom of the page.
Click Yes for the Change Password option.
Enter your current password, a new password and enter it again to confirm.
Click Save to finish and a confirmation message will appear.
Preferences
The Preferences menu contains behavioural options for the console.
Default
Show confirm button on alert banners
This option, when enabled, will display a confirm button when performing actions within Hub such as when closing a Hub event.
Directory Display
Expand Directory Nodes
When enabled, this option will automatically expand objects within the Directory Tree when clicking on them.
Event Display
Go to Capture Details for Events
When enabled, this option will take you to directly to the capture details when following new event notification links.
When disabled, clicking on a link will take you to the event information instead of directly into the capture.
The associated capture(s) can be accessed by click on the View button.
Sorting
Default sorting for Hub events
By default this is set to Date Created Descending which will show the newest first.
Two-Factor Authentication
This option is covered in the Two-Factor Authentication article.
Mail Settings
This section covers settings relating to emails sent by your account.
Email Signature
This option will allow you to add an email signature to your account which can be applied to exported captures.
Ticking the option to Yes will expand the field and show some options.
You can copy and paste your current email signature from Outlook directly into the box, formatting and images should be preserved in this process.
Click Save once complete.
